ALEX WRAY, Senior Partner
Alex’s expertise is in supporting leaders and teams to get the results that matter most - mission critical results that the CEO is betting the company on. Alex draws upon a diverse set of models and tools to raise leader, team and organization performance from good to great. Alex co-founded Wray Consulting Group Inc in 1993. Since 1993, Alex has served a range of clients from the small entrepreneurial start ups in the Silicon Valley to the CEO offices of both Motorola and Ford. He is a consultant, coach, facilitator, trainer and keynote speaker. Alex has worked throughout North America, and globally, from Singapore to Copenhagen. Alex has taught at the executive level of both Simon Fraser University's Segal Graduate School of Business and at University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business in his home town of Vancouver.
BETH MASSIANO, Senior Consultant and Executive Coach
As an executive and team coach, organizational change consultant, and professional educator, the heart of Beth’s work involves supporting individuals and small groups in the creation of meaningful and sustainable changes. She has worked in corporate settings for more than 26 years (15 of which were internal positions) and has deep experience with large organizational dynamics. Beth has coaching certification through the International Coaching Federation and Georgetown University. She has designed and delivered numerous leadership development programs, most notably the publicly offered training program that accompanies the Simon & Schuster 2006 publication: Managerial Moment of Truth. Beth believes that transformations are born from the clients willingness to look inside and do the work to increase self-awareness, practice inquiry, expand perspectives, and be intentional when engaging with the outside world.
DANAE JOHNSON, Executive Coach
Danae is the founder of Thinking Partners (Canada), and collaborates with Wray Group as a coach. Drawing on over 17 years of experience in leadership and business management, Danae coaches entrepreneurs and leaders in the executive suite. Most recently, she served as a vice president of people development at a leading resort operations and real estate development firm with more than 25,000 employees. Danae has created and facilitated successful learning programs in many areas of strategic human resources, including leadership and coaching skills, performance management, recruitment and selection, change management, conflict resolution and communications. Danae is a Certified Executive Coach (CEC) and a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP). She volunteers as a coach with the award-winning Minerva Foundation and is an active member of the Vancouver chapter of the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
HEATHER BORDO, Senior Consultant and Executive Coach
Heather is a senior consultant, strategist and executive coach whose work with over 30 distinct organizations developing and implementing business strategies, improving business processes and driving operational change helps her bring a broad perspective to facilitating leadership performance and driving business results. The guidance Heather provides stems from her work with global and local organizations in the information technology, financial services, telecommunica-tions and manufacturing industries. Her approach is further supported by her roles coaching participants in the Accelerated Leadership Program at the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business, as well as teaching in the Executive Management Program at Simon Fraser University’s Business School and in the Executive Development Program at the Rotman School of Business in Toronto. Heather holds a Masters of Industrial Relations from the University of Toronto and an Advanced Coaching Certificate from the Coaches’ Training Institute.
JEFF ARNOLD, Senior Consultant and Executive Coach
Following a career in international business, Jeff has spent the last 20 years working to support individuals and organizations to consistently and effectively create results. As an executive coach and business consultant he has worked with clients across a wide range of industries to enable their best thinking and execution. Jeff works at both a whole organization and at an individual level. Organizationally, he facilitates leaders and their teams in strategy design, planning and execution, using fast, pragmatic methods that consistently get results. Individually, he is a skilled coach working with senior business leaders to develop their personal mastery and their ability to consistently create what matters, both professionally and personally.
JEREMY JACKSON, Psychometrician
Jeremy is a specialist in psychometrics, measurement theory and non-metric multivariate data analysis. Prior to joining Wray Group, he was vice president of consulting with a Canadian human resources consultancy. In that role, he developed a web-based human resources measurement tool and led a team in the development of the firm's feedback, analysis and reporting technology. Jeremy has authored or co-authored more than 20 peer-reviewed publications. He earned his PhD from Simon Fraser University and now teaches at Douglas College and the University College of the
Fraser Valley.
MARINA MA, Senior Consultant and Executive Coach
Marina is Wray Group's practice leader in the niche area of aligning strategy, business and people. She has more than 20 years of experience as a general manager and a consultant in business planning and development, organizational effectiveness, information technology, sales and marketing, product management and human resources. She has successfully implemented multi-disciplinary initiatives with budgets up to $100 million in industries such as retail, financial, insurance, forestry, education, and management and technology consulting. She is also a sessional lecturer at both Simon Fraser University and University of Phoenix, Vancouver Campus.
MIKE SCOTT, Executive Coach and Senior Analyst
Mike is an executive coach and trainer of coaches, based in Toronto, Canada. Over the past twenty years Mike has trained thousands of managers, consultants and coaches in how individuals and organizations structure themselves to produce sustained high performance. Mike is a certified practitioner of the ‘structural approach’ to coaching. This approach, created by Robert Fritz, is based on principles of the creative process and a thinking discipline called Structural Dynamics. As an executive coach, Mike has helped individuals and organizations dramatically increase their effectiveness through his expertise in structural thinking and consulting. His clients have included some of Canada’s major financial institutions, the provincial government and several non-profit organizations. Mike began his career in the Canadian forest products industry in operations management and later in business planning and development. Mike has a B.Sc. in Mathematics from the University of Toronto.
NATALIE MICHAEL, Senior Consultant and Executive Coach
Natalie is a Senior Consultant and Executive Coach who partners with the Wray Group on leadership development projects. Clients benefit from her past experience building integrated talent management systems for global and entrepreneurial clients and her expertise in succession management, leadership selection, and coaching. Throughout her career, she has worked with a variety of engineering firms in the environmental, mining, technology, and forestry sector. Prior to becoming a consultant, Natalie was the Vice President of Human Resources for an international technology company and she worked as an Executive Search Consultant. She has a Masters in Organizational Development from Fielding University, and she is trained as a Coactive and Evidence Based Coach. She has an undergraduate degree in Psychology.
SASJA NIEUKERK, Trainer and Coach
Sasja is a dynamic consultant, coach and trainer in the field of organizational development and leadership. Her areas of expertise include leadership and team development, coaching and mentoring, employee engagement and organizational change. Sasja holds a Master of Arts (MA) with a specialization in Leadership Development and Training from Royal Roads University in Victoria. She is also a member of the International Coaching Federation, which is renowned for its globally recognized credentialing program. Sasja leads Wray Group’s foundational workshops – Adaptive Leader and Engagement Coaching. Sasja is a qualified Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and certified facilitator for Achieve Global, a leader in the field of training and development for organizations, teams and leaders.
WENDY WRAY, Managing Partner
Wendy, co-founder of Wray Group, has more than 20 years of experience in marketing, sales, business management and operations. Wendy is the resource manager for clients and external partners. Her background
in consulting, coaching and training comes from studies at leading institutions and programs, including Simon Fraser University, Justice Institute Centre for Conflict Resolution,
and the Robert Fritz Structural Consulting program. She is a Qualified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) Professional and a Certified Cultural Transformation Tools Consultant with the Barrett Values Center.
As managing partner, she focuses on the overall direction and administration of the firm..
YABOME GILPIN-JACKSON, Facilitator and Consultant
Yabome is an experienced professional in the areas of organization development and learning. Her experience includes research, program design and project management for management-level learning and development programs and related consulting projects. She has designed and facilitated strategic meetings and events for corporate, non-profit and public-sector audiences. Yabome holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management & Organization Studies and Management Information Systems as well as a Masters in Business Administration in Leadership and Organizational Change, both from Simon Fraser University. She is also a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP), a Certified Trainer in William Bridges' Leading Organizational Transitions Programs, and a Qualified Professional in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®), The Birkman Method® and the Strengths Deployment Inventory (Personal Strengths Publishing). She continues to further her own learning and development as a doctoral student in Human and Organization Development at Fielding Graduate University.
