We are pioneers in the practice of live surveys. We use anonymous in-room polling to survey employees in real-time.
Responses to live surveys have high integrity; participants can ask questions and get clarification before responding. Immediately after the survey, we apply our Insights into Action methodology with the entire group. In this facilitated session, respondents further express their opinions and collectively develop an action plan that all can support. The true value of live surveys comes through this skillfully facilitated discussion.
This high-involvement approach stands in stark contrast to traditional surveys, which might take months before the results are even reported. This long delay leaves a small group to interpret the past results, speculate about what was really on the respondents' minds, and develop an action plan in isolation. When employees don't see any changes, the survey process loses credibility.
With live surveys, everyone gets the satisfaction of immediate results. You can dive into discussion and action planning in the same meeting. When the entire group is involved, engagement increases and senior leadership gains credibility. The entire process unleashes tremendous energy and momentum for the business.

How it works
- At the beginning of the meeting, each participant receives a handheld wireless keypad (see right).
- Each question or prompt appears on a PowerPoint slide with numbered response options
(see an example).
- Participants respond to the question or prompt by pressing the numbered
button on their keypad that corresponds to
their chosen response on the PowerPoint slide.
- Once all participants have responded, a bar graph or pie chart (as appropriate) immediately appears
with the results (see an example).

"Real-time polling was very valuable to my group. There was no ambiguity or hearsay. Everyone was accountable because everyone was sitting right there. It got us right to the base of the problem."
